Central Sterilisation

Cleanliness and hygiene are paramount at the practice. Patients can rest assured of the very best standards of care in terms of decontamination. The practice boasts a modern central sterilisation unit, which comprises of separate dirty and clean sterilisation rooms with separate airflow as set out in the government’s decontamination Best Practice Policy: HTM01-05.

We have also invested in a Vacuum Autoclave machine, complete with barcode reader, allowing us to trace each set of instruments used on each patient (therefore ensuring traceability). The machine also uses RO water (Reverse Osmosis – sterile water as opposed to tap water) practically eliminating the risks of patient infection and ensuring patient safety.
