Patient Notice - Coronavirus Update 30/09/2020

As of the 29th May the Chief Dental Officer for England has issued a statement indicating that

Today, we are asking that all dental practices commence opening from Monday 8 June for all face to face care, where practices assess that they have the necessary IPC and PPE requirements in place.

Our commitment to providing the best and safe care over the last two months has led to our dental practice being ‘at the ready’ for some time prior to this announcement. (see section on New Safety Protocols and Equipment).

However this does not mean we are able to return to ‘normal service’. The Chief Dental Officer of England would like dental practices to not carry out routine dental Care but only that which is deemed ‘Urgent’ or an ‘Emergency’.  I would also like to add that we will see patients that are deemed ‘Necessary’ in order to avoid an urgent situation.

This means that all routine examination’s will be re-appointed to a different  time in the year.

Those patients that are deemed to be either ‘Urgent’ ‘Emergency’ or ‘Necessary’ will be seen where advice cannot be given over the phone.

Remember you will still be triaged for covid symptoms and if deemed covid positive will be referred to our regional covid positive dental sites for urgent dental care.

There is a new standard protocol for patient attendance at our practice  and I would like you to read this information prior to your booked attendance.

Be rest assured we have your  dental health and safety in hand.

All the best

Darren and Jenny
