Near ‘Instant’ Results with the Teeth in a Day Procedure

Why a full dental restoration does not have to be a lengthy process.

At some point in our lives, often during middle age, we may take the opportunity to re-assess our lives; where we are going with our careers, relationships etc and generally take a good look at ourselves.

In some cases we don’t really like what we see and remember our youth, often forgetting the bad times of course. This can, on occasions, lead to the well-known ‘midlife crisis’ where we try to do things that make us feel more ‘youthful’. Looking back a few years later though, this can be slightly embarrassing and often a little amusing. However, the fact that we may re-assess our lives is not a bad thing and does give us opportunities to make the rest of our lives happier and more fulfilling.

Appearance

Whilst we may use the reassessment to change our career or other aspects of our lives that we are not happy with, it can be more difficult to change our appearance. There is certainly no going back to being young but that should not mean that we can’t improve the way that we look, appropriate to our current age.

Changing what we wear can be easy enough, but other factors can be quite difficult to change; none more-so than our teeth.

By middle age and especially late middle age, many of us will have lost a good number of teeth, especially if we have not taken good care of them, perhaps due to a poor diet and general poor oral health care.

This does not mean that nothing can be done though, and at the Darren Bywater Dental Implant Centre in Derby, we offer our patients a chance to have a full arch restoration in just a single day.

This procedure, called ‘teeth in a day’ or an ‘all on 4’ is becoming increasingly popular and will almost certainly eventually be a natural replacement for the often uncomfortable dentures that are currently used.

Unlike individual dental implant placement, which can take approximately three months before the replacement tooth is fully functional, the ‘teeth in a day’ procedure, as the name suggests, is actually a very fast procedure and will change your appearance for the better almost instantly.

The New You

In fact, the teeth in a day procedure only takes a few hours and is done in our state of the art dental implant centre in Derby by Darren Bywater, our highly experienced implant dentist.

In just a short space of time, 4 dental implants will be fitted into the bone structure in the jaw and a fixed bridge attached to them.  Because of the use of the fixed bridge, there is not the need for the longer wait associated with individual implants and the new teeth become functional almost straight away. It should be noted that the procedure is not suitable for all patients but we will be pleased to assess this during a one-to-one consultation.

Once this procedure is complete, you will be able to return home from our dental practice, take a look in the mirror and see a newer, younger looking you, hopefully making you feel good about yourself once again.
