Dentists, Do You Offer Dental Implants To Your Patients?
The benefits to be gained and how we can help you.
As a professional dentist, we don’t need to explain the many benefits of dental implants for you. We know that you will be fully aware about their longevity, strength and what a high success rate the dental implant procedure has.
You may already have had some of your patients ask about them, only for you to have to refer them to another dental practice to have the procedure done?
This may not be your preferred route and with dental implants become increasingly popular, you may have considered offering dental implants within your own dental practice?
Mentoring
As an implant dentist of many years, I not only have a great deal of experience but, as a tutor at the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners ( http://www.fgdp.org.uk/ ), I can offer my skills to you, either on an individual one to one basis, or as part of a group, in order to prepare you and your dental practice in the placing of dental implants.
This process, which can be done either at the Darren Bywater Dental Implant Centre in Derby, or within your own practice, will help you to attain the skills and knowledge that will enable you to offer implants at your own practice.
As well as mentoring you on the actual process, I am also able to help in many other factors that will determine the level of care that you will be able to offer.
These include the following:
Your Surgery – offering dental implants at your own practice means that there will be specific equipment that will need to be purchased. Making the right selection can not only save you money but also make a significant level of difference for your patients. The environment too should be considered as many patients will be nervous of having a dental implant placed, particularly if it is their first time.
Patient Assessment – a key part of placing dental implants is assessing the patient’s suitability in the first place. Bone density and a patient’s overall health all play a major part in the success, or otherwise, of the implant process.
Augmentation – in some cases, where bone density may be insufficient; rather than simply turning patients away, bone augmentation may provide a solution to allow the procedure to progress.
Addressing these factors, along with many more which can arise during the mentoring process, will enable you to have the confidence and ability to offer implants to patients in your own practice.
