At the Darren Bywater Dental Implant Centre in Derbyshire, we pride ourselves on providing excellent service for our patients. Dr Darren Bywater, is a prominent local implant dentist who also tutors for the Implant Diploma for the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners.

This tutoring experience is highly beneficial to dental practitioners who are now looking to include dental implant placement into their own practices.

Dr Bywater is now sharing his experience with dentists from Derbyshire and the East Midlands to help them to benefit from his implant skills and, eventually, to enable them to put them into practise themselves.

Furthermore, Dr Bywater is also an implant practice inspector for the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners and an examiner for the implant diploma at The Royal College of Surgeons in London.

Mentoring

Dr Bywater’s role as a mentor means that he is able to pass on his wide experience and also the skills which have been gained through many years of ongoing training. Keeping up to date with the latest developments in implant dentistry also means that the advice given is current and not simply taken from a text book. This mentoring service is useful for all dentists who are looking to include dental implants in their own practice, but is also especially beneficial for anyone undergoing postgraduate training in dental implantology.

The Implant Team

As well as imparting knowledge directly to the dentist who will be performing the procedure, Dr Bywater also offers a service to benefit the whole implant team. The goal here is to deliver a superior service for the dental implant patients and development of a successful and thriving implant practice, backed by a knowledgeable team.

Setting up a dental implant practice

As well as studying the actual dental implant procedure, Dr. Bywater’s mentoring service will also look at how best to set up and run a dental implant practice. This includes the practicalities of doing so and avoiding the mistakes that can be made, especially in the initial stages. This information will enable a practice to offer a dental implant service without many of the ‘teething’ problems that can occur if the dentist is otherwise inexperienced in this field.
